Temptress explore the consequences of materialism on 'in the bag'
We might not have it all together as a culture, but Temptress certainly have it 'in the bag' with their new release.
The R&B duo's new release is a commentary on consumerism, telling DMY that the new song is about "our addiction to materialism, and how our culture pushes happiness through the next purchase." It combines their angelic vocals with an undeniable groove coming from the drums and the Rhodes keyboard, with each element coming together to make for an infectious throwback that still maintains that modern shine they've perfected throughout their work.
The deeper meanings of their songs has attracted the attention of Complex, The Line of Best Fit, Notion, and Dork and has even garnered support from the world of radio, having been featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio London, and BBC Radio 1Xtra.
The masterminds behind it all are Vlad and Jess, who hail from South London and both act as writers, producers, and directors for all of their own material.
