Temptress drop bouncy UK garage heater 'Catch 22'
Returning to the fold with their second single of the year, rising DIY duo Temptress deliver yet another summer anthem with ‘Catch 22’.
Back in April, Jess and Vlad nodded to UK rave culture with ‘That Feeling’, helming a sound in line with today’s Gen-Z dance-floor trailblazers, such as pinkpatheress and yuné pinku. Continuing to build upon this style with their latest single, the pair show what the buzz surrounding them is all about.
In the words of Temptress, ‘Catch 22’ is about “putting everything into something, fighting your demons and self doubt, but feeling like you keep running around in circles.”
Blending smooth vocal top-lines with enticing UK garage-inspired bass lines and drums, their latest offering is the perfect soundtrack for the hot weather the UK is currently experiencing.
The emerging duo’s upbeat dance-floor heaters have been turning heads in the music scene ever since they dropped their debut EP ‘Body’, with the pair making it on to the long-list for Glastonbury’s 2022 Emerging Talent competition. This year’s longlist was selected by a panel of 30 music writers, supported by PRS For Music and the PRS Foundation. Three of our DMY Artists were chosen for the list, including Julia-Sophie and Raelle.
