Biig Piig Takes Control On New Single 'Decimal'
As Biig Piig gears up to release her highly-anticipated debut album, she's giving us another taste of what to expect.
Following the dark, reflective '4AM', the Irish artist is back with high-energy banger, ‘Decimal’, which captures the electric feeling of connecting with a stranger across the dancefloor.
The sexy new single sees Biig Piig summon her magnetic energy as she switches between Spanish and English. The pulsating club beats were partly inspired by the iconic surroundings of Paris’ Motorbass studios, where Biig Piig recorded much of her upcoming music; founded by the late great Philippe Zdar, and home over the years to artists ranging from Phoenix to Pharrell.
Speaking on the track Biig Piig explains: “'Decimal' is a track about connecting with someone from across the room in a club, in a sweaty environment and it just feeling electric. I wrote it in Motorbass studios in Montmartre in Paris with Andrew Wells, the way we found the tempo was to a strut I did across the room. That’s how I wanted the energy of the track to be, like a feel yourself moment. It called for Spanish verses too, something I haven’t done in a minute. Just the feel of the track and the intimacy of it made me want to write those imagining them like a whisper in someone’s ear.”
'Decimal' arrives alongside Episode 2 of a series of intimate short films written by Biig Piig to accompany the record.
'Decimal' is out now via RCA.
