hidingthehurt returns with deluxe edition of 'From Fieldfare With Love'
Earlier this year, UK hyperpop trailblazer hidingthehurt announced to his fans that he was retiring the moniker with his final project 'Under The City Lights'. Now, he's back for one last dance with the deluxe edition of his acclaimed EP 'From Fieldfare With Love'.
A year and a half after the initial release of the EP ‘From Fieldfare With Love’, the 21 year old writer/producer/artist has revealed three vaulted songs.
The EP received high praise after its release finding itself featured in coveted Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday UK, The Other List, Misfits 2.0 and Hyperpop (twice). On the new deluxe edition, hidingthehurt delivers three tracks that although did not make it to the original cut, are well situated and well in place on the scope of this project.
Themes such as heartbreak and self-perseverance are explored across these tracks, with ‘Flash’ and ‘34th Street’ utilising classic writing styles and melodic hyper guitar driven instrumentals as backing. ‘Just Like U’ sees a more experimental sound come to the forefront with hidingthehurt contemplating the pitfalls of notoriety and the music industry on top of distorted vocal samples.
