Greentea Peng and Nightmares On Wax join forces on dubbed-out remix 'Top Steppa V2'
Greentea Peng joins forces with legendary UK producer Nightmares On Wax to create a brand new iteration of the ‘GREENZONE 108’ mixtape fan-favourite track 'Top Steppa'.
Re-produced from the ground up by Leeds-born innovator, Nightmares On Wax stamps his sound across Greentea Peng's lush offering with dubbed-out synths and rhythmically-swung drum programming, veering to the dance floor with a bumping and shaking bassline.
Speaking on the new track, Nightmares On Wax says: “It’s a great honour for me to collaborate with Greentea once again - after she featured on my record last year. I’m such a huge fan of her as an artist and we totally connect with the energy she shares.
"Top Steppa is already an amazing song, so to be able to combine the Nightmares on Wax sound with this tune for Top Steppa V2 is the perfect musical marriage. After a little back and forth vibing with Greentea, I tapped into that iconic British expression of 90’s hip hop & 70’s roots reggae with a futuristic electronic NOW twist.”
