Teki Latex and Nick Dwyer are releasing a golden era video game mixtape
Teki Latex and Diggin’ In The Carts’ Nick Dwyer have teamed up on a new mixtape: ‘Teki and Nick’s Mixtape Quest Adventure’.
Slotting together video game soundtracks from Final Fantasy, Streets of Rage and Pokemon Red & Blue with acapellas from Migos, Outkast and Ruff Ryders, it’s a wild ride through hip-hop, dance and vintage game sonics.
The tape also boasts exclusives from Kode9, Ikonika, Mumdance and Japanese footwork artist Foodman, with vocals from Jammz plus Japanese avant-pop artist Suiyooubi Campanella and ShiShi Yamazaki.
For the tape, Dwyer supposedly dug through his archive of 200,000 video game OSTs, while Teki rooted through his stash of acapellas and club tracks, coming to record the tape as a live mix.
