Sampha announces first new album in five years 'Lahai'
Today, Sampha announces his highly anticipated new album, 'Lahai'.
Fans began to expect news of a follow up to 2017's 'Process' album back in June, when the artist shared a video captioned "Messages… Signals….," which stitched together photos and footage of himself and collaborators at work in the studio.
Explaining the meaning behind the name of the upcoming record in a new post on social media, Sampha wrote: "My grandfather’s name. My middle name. My next musical chapter. My next album. Fever Dreams. Continuums. Dancing. Generations. Syncopation. Bridges. Grief. Motherlands. Love. Spirit. Fear. Flesh. Flight."
Following collaborations with Alicia Keys, SBTRKT, and more, Sampha announced his first solo single in six years, 'Spirit 2.0'.
