Premiere: Mina hits Bryte's neighbourhood in Accra for their 'One Leg' video

London-based DJ and producer Mina takes influence from global sounds, mining the corners of the earth to root out the freshest strands of dance music.

Today she releases her debut album, ‘Flight Paths’, on her newly minted Earth Kicks label, which taps up a bunch of collaborators from various continents.

Teaming up again with Ghanaian vocalist and longtime collaborator, Bryte, ‘One Leg’ is another example of Mina’s playful, dancehall-inflected stylings.

The video, which we’re premiering above, was shot in Bryte’s neighbourhood of Abeka, Accra, and in an abandoned swimming pool in Labadi.

“We wanted to capture the infectious energy of the lyrics and celebrate Ghana’s dance and skating cultures,” Mina says. “This is the first video I have fully directed, produced and edited myself and I’m really excited to share it!”
