Oklou's 'Galore' mixtape is dream-like pop perfection
Today French producer and singer-songwriter Oklou releases ‘Galore’, her debut mixtape.
Written in collaboration with Casey MQ, ‘Galore’ sees an extension of the Paris-based artist’s fragile vocals and superbly-crafted production grounded in her classical training in piano and cello.
‘girl on my throne’ was also co-written with EASYFUN and sees additional production from A.G. Cook.
Real name Marylou Mayniel, Oklou has previously released music via NUXXE while also collaborating with Sega Bodega, Mura Masa and recording a COLORS session. We named her one of the artists we were most excited about for 2020.
Avalon Emerson recently featured Oklou’s ‘Mixed’ in her eagerly-awaited DJ-Kicks mix.
Oklou has become known for her vivid and fantastical visuals – watch the video for ‘god’s chariots’ below.
Oklou’s ‘Galore’ is out today via TaP Records – stream or purchase it here.
