Mount Kimbie Reunite with King Krule on 'Empty and Silent'
Mount Kimbie and long-time collaborator King Krule have teamed up again for new single 'Empty and Silent'.
Opening with eerie synth keys, the track builds gradually, coating itself in a warmer tone as a melange of instruments join to colour in the ambience. Just before the two minute mark, King Krule's melancholy vocals enter the room, recounting the mundanities of everyday life.
The song is a cut from Mount Kimbie's upcoming fourth album, 'The Sunset Violent', due for release on 5th April via Warp Records. 'Empty and Silent is the first of two tracks that will feature King Krule.
Next month will see Mount Kimbie kick off a global tour, taking them from LA and New York to London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris and Barcelona, amongst many other cities. Joining them will be friends George Riley, Nabihah Iqbal and Chanel Beads. On 24th August, the group headline South London festival RALLY.
'Empty and Silent' feat. King Krule is out now via Warp Records.
