Miles from Kinshasa teases his upcoming mixtape with romantic new single 'This Side'
Congolese-born Londoner Miles from Kinshasa has blessed us with another helping from his anticipated forthcoming project. Ready to take his experimental sound to new heights, his latest single ‘This Side’ is the artist’s very own answer to summer and arrives in the wake of his previous helping from the new EP, ‘Glitchin’.
Touching on the frustrations with dating that people are often vocal about, Miles uses the his new offering to charmingly serenade his love interest, communicating through melodies how he is different to the other guys while asking her to not paint everyone under the same brush.
Produced by kadiata, ‘This Side’ continues Miles’ collaborative partnership with the fellow Londoner, following last year’s successful ‘Don’t Be An Opp’ and April’s ‘Glitchin’.
The accompanying Raghe Farah-directed music video lends the single a whole new dimension, showing Miles and a love interest make memories on holiday while having fun with their friends.
The last few years have seen Miles emerge as one of the UK’s most exciting underground talents. At the back end of 2020, the artist enjoyed the success of his ‘Beloved’ project, featuring tracks such as ‘Wearing Smiles’, ‘Lookin’ 4 U’ and ‘Motionz’, as well as shutting down the studio in our first ever DUMMY SESSION, which you can watch here.
Taken off his upcoming mixtape, the infectious new single brings a close to the summer and edges towards the release of Miles’ next body of work, which is expected to land later this year.
