Brighton-based DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Alex Banks is one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking underground stars. Once a devoted metal-head during his teenage years, Banks’ life changed when he attended his very first rave and had his eyes (and ears) opened to the world of dance music. Since then, the DJ has spent the last 10 years honing his craft, pushing back against the more sterile elements of the dance scene with his perfectly-imperfect productions. With his new album ‘Projections’ due to come out in August on Max Cooper’s Mesh imprint, Banks has put together an exclusive mix for Dummy.
“For this mix I’ve put together some of my favourite electronica, techno and breaks tracks from recent releases,” Alex says. “Alongside my latest singles ‘Recall Mindset’ and ‘Into the Realm’, it features new works from Max Cooper, Daniel Avery and Moderat.
