David GotSound explores varying strands of rap on 'The Mountains'

Following the release of singles ‘You Know The Vibes’ and ‘Lovin’ You‘, David GotSound today releases seven-track project ‘The Mountains‘ in full.

A member of the DMY Artists family, South East London lyricist and producer David GotSound produced the EP entirely during lockdown, drawing on his sonic influences including old school hip-hop, jazz and indie.

‘The Mountains’ as a concept comes from David imagining his bedroom in lockdown as a mountaintop cabin (depicted on the front cover), taking the time as an opportunity to pause from the bustle of everyday life, soul search and practice his craft.

Fusing tight melodies with introspective, thoughtful lyrics, the record sees David mining various strands of rap, from the mellow to the more energetic.
