AVA AKIRA and ZAND's anti-party anthem 'PURGATORY'
Hyperemo vocalist and DJ AVA AKIRA teams up with ZAND for their first collaborative release ‘PURGATORY’, a girlish and frenetic burst of hyperpop energy – a track that encapsulates a moment of panic adorned and embellished in euphoria and grounded by a heavy bassline. It follows AVA AKIRA’s last release, a collaborative EP with phonewifey called ‘phoneAVA‘.
AVA AKIRA says; “I’m so ecstatic to finally share this song with all of you, I’ve been working on it for a very long time and to finally have it out after months of preparation has actually given me shivers! A little back story to this song – Purgatory is about the anxious thoughts in your head whilst under the influence at a party/a random afters in the late hours of the evening/early morning. I hope u all like my anti-party anthem as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.”
Produced by Pholo and co-written by hyperpop superstar phonewifey, ‘PURGATORY’ comes with artwork by 3D designer and director Jordan Chappell and a music video will premiere on Sunday 5th September at 7pm GMT.
‘PURGATORY’ is out now on ANIMAVA via DMY.
