London's new 15,000-capacity warehouse venue, Drumsheds, used to be an IKEA
A brand new music venue is coming to London.
Drumsheds is a 15,000-capacity warehouse created and curated by Broadwick Live, the team behind Printworks, The Beams and more.
But despite its close association with the recently closed Surrey Quays venue, the 608,000 square foot space claims to be “more impactful than anything London has seen” with the objective to “inspire, connect and create massive impact through music, culture and space”.
Located in Meridian Water in a former IKEA warehouse, Drumsheds promises to have a completely different concept and feel to The Drumsheds, a former nearby nightclub which shut its doors in 2022.
Simeon Aldred, Director of Strategy at Broadwick says: “Broadwick’s mission has always been to build brands that deliver unrivalled, live experiences that create real impact. We are proud to announce Drumsheds, set to be London’s most impactful cultural space of its kind, set across 608,000 sqft in North London.
He continues: “We want Drumsheds, like all the spaces we create, to be new centres of cultural gravity that provide the basis for human connection. A connection that people crave now more than ever.”
Set to open this September, the full opening programme will be out soon and is set to feature a mixture of “culture events”.
