Lava La Rue returns with elegant Queer anthem 'G.O.Y.D.'
Lava La Rue has returned with the her first dose of music since 2019’s ‘Stitches’ mixtape, releasing the smooth new single ‘G.O.Y.D.’.
An acronym for ‘Girl Of Your Dreams’, the self-declared Queer anthem reflects on the cherished first moments of falling in love, with Lava and a mystery vocalist joining forces to create a dreamy and hypnotic cut.
Produced by Frank Ocean-collaborator, Vegyn, the catchy lo-fi production fizzles in and out of focus as La Rue lays down a series of twisting rap verses.
The 22-year-old is donating proceeds from the new single to the Black Trans exclusive collective, For Our Sibs, who provide sustainable aid to the Black Trans, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex communities.
